MSE Cafeteria Perfect Score! - May 16, 2013 - 9:47:12 AM

Meigs South would like to recognize our wonderful cafeteria workers for receiving a perfect score of 100 on a recent health inspection.  Each of these ladies works very hard every day to ensure that all students and faculty members eat a well-balanced healthy lunch.  Not only do they cook and clean for us, but they also encourage our children on a daily basis.   Most of them know many children by name and they have a positive attitude with a happy smile each day.  Thank you Mrs. Sherry, Mrs. Beverly, Mrs. Lisa, Mrs. Angie, Mrs. Tammy, Mrs. Alma, Mrs. Judy, and Mrs. Kellie for making Meigs South a great place!  We are all very proud of you and your hard work!

On April 16th students at MNE jumped all over heart disease and stroke by participating in Jump Rope for Heart.  The students raised more than $1,000 for the American Heart Association.

MSE A.R. Winners - May 10, 2013 - 4:49:14 PM

The students in Meigs South recently finished the Accelerated Reader Program for the 2012-2013 school year. Kindergarten and 1 ^{st grade students who participated in the program took a reward field trip to Athens Regional Park for a day of fun activities. The students who received their A.R. points in 2nd and 3rd grade were rewarded with a trip to the TVRM for a Train Ride! 4th and 5th grade students who earned their points were rewarded with a trip to Ruby Falls.}
