     The 4^th grade classes read the book Flat Stanley by Jeff Brown.  The book is about a boy named Stanley that was flattened by his bulletin board one night as he slept.  He was able to do many unusual things including go anywhere he wanted in a mailed envelope.

     We have sent our Flat Stanley’s to relatives and friends across the U.S. and even to different countries.  Our letters instructed the recipients to return our Stanley’s with stories of his adventures during his visits with them. 

     Last year, a student from Mr. Bo’s class sent her Flat Stanley to CSI.  Not only did they send her a return letter of his adventures with pictures to share; they also allowed Stanley to appear in a crime scene on their show.  We love sending our Stanley’s to new places, and can’t wait to see where he ends up this year!
