Poems from a few 4th Grade Students:
Clothes
I have to hold them.
Next, I have to fold them.
Then I have to load them.
After that, I push the button.
Finally, I get them out.

I Hate Cleaning My Room
Cleaning my room is such a pain,
I'd rather be playing a softball game.

Good Citizenship
By: Seth Bidwell
4th Grade Student from Mrs. Baker’s Room
To be a good citizen of America, you have to obey the law and rules. You can help the elderly. Pick up any litter or trash on the ground. Recycle anything that can be recycled. Volunteer in raising money to buy food, clothes, and water for the less fortunate. Build homes or shelter for the homeless. Help decrease the amount of animals on the endangered species list. And keep the animals safe hat use to be on the endangered species list. Help plant trees and flowers. Try to make safer homes for people. Water plants everyday so they will not die.
***This essay won 1st place in the Character Counts Contest sponsored by the Meigs Family & Education Club Council. Seth was awarded a $25 check, a new tote bag and a stuffed monkey.
