1.Our School Principal had a banner created that said “Congratulations Meigs South on 100 Days of School.” The students were so excited to see that she was proud of their accomplishments.
2.Our Kindergarten Classes rotated on the 100th day. The first teacher read Miss Bindergarten Celebrates the 100th Day of Kindergarten, the students were then given musical instruments to play while they sang a special song about the 100th Day. The second teacher taught a math lesson on estimation. The students were given a large piece of paper and were asked to stamp out 100 stamps. The third teacher got the students moving with some alphabet karate and aerobics. She then gave each group of students 100 letters and they created words with the letters. The fourth teacher showed the boys and girls a $100 bill. The students illustrated a story of what they might buy with $100.
3.Students were asked to bring in 100 items to share with the class. Some brought toys, some made posters, and some brought yummy treats!
4.We made a 100th day trail mix. Each child was given 10 pieces of 10 items. They counted to 100 by 10’s and mixed the pieces together for a great snack.
5. Students were encourged to stand up and exercise for 100 seconds throughout the day.
We had many more activities on this day, these are only a few of our ideas. Please feel free to email one of our Kindergarten Teachers for more book titles and ideas from our day!
