Congratulations to our FFA Chapter!  The Parlimentary Procedures team and the Conduct of Chapter Meetings team placed first place in the district.
MCHS students competed in the 2018 Roane State Academic Festival. Thirty-two area schools competed and Meigs High won first place in the overall AA Division. Competitions included writing, art, vocal solos, Spanish poetry, investigative news, and sports feature. Congratulations to all students that competed!
Meigs High Archery team recently competed in the 2018 NASP Tennessee State Archery Tournament. In the high school division, Sara Plank won 1st place in the individual state 3D shoot with a 266 and she also placed 2nd in the individual state bullseye tournament with a 290. Caleb Smith placed 2nd in the individual state 3D shoot with a 291 and he also placed 2nd in the individual state bullseye tournament with a 291 as well.
The team placed 2nd in the State 3D Tournament with a 1598. They placed 7th in the state bullseye tournament with a score of 3217. There were 18 teams competing from across the state in the high school division this year, and we earned 7th place. Congratulations again to all of our archers!
