Tobacco Prevention Poster Contest

Meigs County Schools Coordinated School Health office is sponsoring a tobacco prevention poster contest for all students in grades fourth thorough twelfth grades.
Here are the following criteria for poster submissions.

Fourth (4th) through twelfth (12th) grades are eligible to enter the contest.

Entries must be free-hand drawings, using pen, pencil, marker, crayon, paint, or any combination of these media.
A straight edge may be used to aid in drawing a straight line.

Gluing materials in picture is not permitted.

Use of stencils or tracing is not permitted.

It must deliver a clear and positive message about being tobacco-free.

Posters should not be laminated or mounted on mat board.

Students should not write their name or other identify information on the front of the poster.
Name, grade, and school should be on the back.

Computer clip art, pictures from magazines and other print media, or any other copyrighted brand or product images will not be accepted.

Deadline for submission is April 2, 2008 by 3:15 in your schools office.
First and second place winners in each school will receive respectively a $50.00 and $25.00 gift card.
The first and second place in the county will receive a $150.00 gift card for first and $75.00 gift card for second.
The overall winner in addition to the gift card will have their drawing put on a local billboard.
